Bottled rose milk gets its colour and sweetness from syrup. This version gets it from strawberries. Freeze-dried strawberries blitz into a fine, bright pink powder that dissolves into cold milk.
Ingredients (serves 1)
- 250 ml cold milk
- 2 pouches frudo strawberry slices, blitzed to a powder
- 1/2 tsp rose water
- Ice
- Optional: 1 tsp honey
Method
- Blitz the strawberry slices in a dry grinder until fine.
- Shake or blend the powder with milk and rose water until the colour is even.
- Pour over ice. Taste and add honey only if you want it sweeter.
Tip: rose water is strong. Start with a quarter teaspoon and add more.
