These taste like a chocolate-dipped banana from a fair, only crunchier and with no sticky fingers. Freeze-dried banana slices are sturdy enough to sandwich a spoon of peanut butter.
Ingredients (makes 10 bites)
- 20 frudo banana slices (about 2 pouches)
- 4 tbsp peanut butter
- 60 g dark chocolate
- A pinch of flaky salt
Method
- Spread half a teaspoon of peanut butter on one slice and press a second slice on top. Make 10 sandwiches.
- Melt the chocolate gently, in short bursts in the microwave or over a pan of hot water.
- Dip each bite halfway into the chocolate and set on baking paper. Add a pinch of salt.
- Chill for 20 minutes until set.
Tip: work quickly. The slices start to soften if they sit in the peanut butter for long.
